XML1000 - Serial I/O Server

View CartCheckout

The XML1000 I/O Server is a rugged and compact, XML-based hardware appliance. It monitors 20 points of I/O, and let's you monitor and control the I/O using XML as the communications protocol. Capture event changes, counts or the total device status using simple ASCII XML commands sent over a serial link or IP network.

XML (Extensible Markup Language) is a simple, flexible text format similar to HTML. Developers love XML because it is easy to understad and well supported in all of today's development environments. The XML1000 presents I/O natively in this open format, making it easy to integrate it into existing SCADA, telemetry, or web applications.

XML Test Tool expedites learning the device
To better understand how XML works, we also provide a simple intuitive configuraton tuility and test tool that provides you with a real time display of the XML commands and responses sent to and from the device. Simply Get or Set any one or group of I/O points and command being sent and the returned results. You will be on your way to making this work in no time.

Communications Flexibility
With a standard RS232 DB9 port for the physical interface, the XML1000 Serial I/O server allows for a network agnostic communications transport of your XML data. Communicating with the XML1000 can be done over serial links, leased-lines, dialup, or via TCP/IP using either Serial-to-Ethernet device servers or numerous types of private radio and 3G cellular modems such as the AirLink Raven XT or PinPoint XT.

Open Protocol
The XML1000 is an important device servicing the M2M market. Simplistic in both its design and feature set, the XML1000 serves a virtually un-addressed niche in the M2M market – low-cost I/O using standards-based, open-source XML as the control protocol.
